Zoe Gillis was born and raised in Cumberland, Rhode Island in a theatrical family, where she always knew that having a career in the arts would be in her future. Growing up, Gillis was deeply involved in the competitive dance world, training heavily in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Acrobatics. She attended a performing arts high school, Beacon Charter, majoring in Theatre Arts. A graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City, she completed the two-year conservatory program and received a certificate in the Musical Theatre Integrated Program, with focuses in Contemporary and Classical Acting, MT History, Vocal Production and Speech, as well as dance focuses in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Partnering styles (Waltz, Swing). Zoe is represented by Firestarter Entertainment Agency.

Today as a NYC based performer, her regional credits include; Cabaret (Argyle Theatre), Cinderella (Theatre By The Sea) Beautiful:the Carole King Musical (TBTS), and Jersey Boys (TBTS). Some of her favorite roles include Susan Snell in Carrie:the Musical, Campbell Davis in Bring It On: the Musical, Little Red in Into the Woods, Morticia Addams in The Addams Family, and Brenda Strong in Catch Me If You Can. Performing with Table Top Broadway and Marquee Productions, she has also performed at multiple cabarets in NYC. Gillis was a part of the TOP 7 in BroadwayWorld's Next On Stage: Dance, an online dance competition with special judges Phil Laduca, Jon Rua, Megan Sikora, and host Ben Cameron.

Not only a performer, but Gillis has been an independent coach/instructor and choreographer for younger artists, and coached many students from focuses on college auditions to national dance competitions. She was an arts educator for Barbizon NYC Talent Agency, and currently a choreographer and technique coach at various studios in the New England Area.
